A former contestant on ABC’s “The Bachelorette,” Tyler Gwozdz, has died after a medical overdose on Wednesday. He was 29.

According to the police in Boca Raton, Florida, Gwozdz was hospitalized on January 13 after a “medical overdose.”

After spending a week in the intensive care unit, he died in Palm Beach County. However, the exact cause of medical overdose is unknown.

“We are heartbroken to hear the tragic news of Tyler’s passing today,” said the Producers of ABC’s “Bachelor” franchise. “Our thoughts are with the Gwozdz family and his friends.”

Best known as “Tyler G” to “Bachelorette” fans, Gwozdz was seen briefly on the show’s 15th season in 2019.

He abruptly left the show after three episodes without any explanation after landing the first date with Hannah Brown.

Talking about his exit, Gwozdz told Refinery, “This was a decision that I came to with producers, and something that I’ve come to realize … is the best decision that could’ve been made.”

According to ABC’s website, he had a side business in dream therapy analysis. Gwozdz was aspiring to become a clinical psychologist.
