Savannah Guthrie, who has been recovering from extensive eye surgery, has celebrated the Today’s annual holiday party with her friends on Wednesday night.

The 47-year-old took to Instagram to post a photo of her, co-host Hoda Kotb, host Jenna Bush Hager, along with executive producer Libby Leist.

She captioned the photo, “Reunited and it feels so good. Loving up on my @todayshow girls at the TODAY holiday party.”

Kotb also shared the same photo and said that Guthrie made it to the party. She captioned, “Lookie lookie who is on the mend! @savannahguthrie made it to the @todayshow Christmas party and then everything was right xoxo.”

Guthrie underwent retinal surgery on December 11, because her 3-year-old son, Charles, accidentally hit her in the eye with a toy train, which damaged her retina.

Her doctors initially performed less-invasive laser surgery to fix the tear. However, eventually, they had to perform retinal surgery that requires a lot of time to recover.

After the surgery, the mother of two told PEOPLE, “It’s uniquely challenging, this recovery. Your body starts hurting in different places, lying down like that.” When asked about her comeback, Guthrie told PEOPLE, “If this eye looks anything like it does right now, I would not do that to America. It’s pretty ghastly. I look like a prizefighter…who lost.”
