According to multiple courses confirmed to PEOPLE, Miley Cyrus has been discharged from the hospital and recovering from vocal cord surgery.
Last month, the 26-year-old singer was hospitalized for tonsillitis. However, according to some sources, she was found to have an issue with her vocal cords, which she was unknowingly having for years.
After learning about the vocal cord issue, Cyrus’s doctors told her would require surgery before the end of the year and would require a few weeks of silence after the surgery, which is why she has put recording on hold.
According to close source of Cyrus, she is “doing great and will be back and better than ever early next year.”
On Friday, Cody Simpson, Cyrus’ boyfriend, shred a black-and-white photo of the couple, with the word “success” written below.
The Wrecking Ball singer shared she had taken a break from singing a few weeks ago. She said, “On vocal rest not body.”
In October, she was hospitalized for a day to undergo surgery for tonsillitis.
While Cyrus has been recovering from her health issues, Simpson released a new song titled “Golden Thing” last month, taking inspiration from Cyrus.
The 22-year-old Australian singer added, “Crystal dream, Cali queen/Radiant hand, vibrant sand. It’s a golden thing she’s got.” Last month, Simpson said on The Kyle and Jackie O Show, “We keep each other in a good place. That’s what’s really healthy about it and I think that’s the first time I’ve had that in a relationship. We’re very, very much on the same page.”
