On Tuesday, Miley Cyrus took to Instagram to post a selfie in a hospital gown, with a medical bracelet and an IV line in her forearm, as she battles tonsillitis, which is an inflammation of the tonsils.
She captioned the photo by stating that she hopes to join Ellen DeGeneres, Portia de Rossi and Bruno Mars in a charity event at the Ellen DeGeneres Wildlife Fund’s Gorillapalooza on October 12.
The 26-year-old wrote, “Trying to heal as quick as I can to make it to Gorillapalooza w @theellenshow @portiaderossi @brunomars this weekend!. Send gooooood vibes my way! Hoping the Rock star G*DS send me a boost of bad ass and help me kick this s**t to the curb where it belongs. We got gorillas to save!”
Later, she posted a photo of her mother, Tish Cyrus. “Thanks mama for makin this sickyyy look a little bit better by brushin my hair for me,” Miley wrote.
The “Wrecking Ball” singer previously posted selfies on her Instagram account, stating, “Tonsillitis is a f**king f**k.” And in the next, she wrote, “This f**king blows.”
On Monday, Cody Simpson visited her to lift her spirits. She shared a photo of Cody playing guitar, captioning, “The DR. is back. Luckiest.”
Miley and Cody have been friends for years. However, there have been rumors of their romance when they were seen kissing at a restaurant in Los Angeles last week.
The “Adore You” singer later shared a shirtless photo of Cody on Instagram. She wrote, “22 ✅ Australian (my type) ✅ Abs ✅,” defending her love life, she wrote, “Get used to me dating.” In August, Miley announced her split from her husband, Liam Hemsworth. Their marriage lasted eight months. There were rumors that she dated Kaitlynn Carter after splitting with Liam. However, they called things off in late September.
