In this week cover story, the American actress and singer, Kelly Clarkson, states, “It was literally a week after my surgery so I was freaking out.”
The 37-year-old American singer and songwriter is a tough woman because she suffered a burst appendix during an award function just a week ago.
During the Billboards award function, she commented, “I just didn’t want to leave people hanging.”
“I was just thinking about trying to relax,” she said. But in reality, “I was in so much pain!”
She underwent emergency surgery immediately after the award function. She had completely recovered and was back to work within seven days for filming an episode of The Voice. However, she once gain suffered terrible pain.
“Blake [Shelton] was talking to me and all of the sudden, everything he said just went away and I had to grab his arm and I was like, ‘Something is wrong,” recalled Clarkson.
Later, she came to know that something was an ovarian cyst that ruptured.
“That was more painful than the appendicitis,” she commented. “It was literally a week after my surgery so I was freaking out!” Clarkson is hale and hearty now. However, the back to back terrible events completely surprised her. “I was hysterically laughing and crying at one point in the E.R. like ‘What is happening?’” she commented. Thankfully, “I’m great now. I’m totally great now.”
