Kailyn Lowry has recently revealed that she and her family have contracted COVID-19 after a trip to the Dominican Republic, according to PEOPLE.
The 29-year-old TV personality revealed during Tuesday’s episode of her podcast, Baby Mamas No Drama, that she and her kids had likely contracted the virus during their recent vacation to the Dominican Republic.
She also said she might have passed the virus to her co-host, Vee Rivera.
Lowry said, “For those of you guys listening who don’t know, Vee and I have COVID.”
She said that her family had tested negative while on vacation and after returning, but she began feeling sick a few days later, per PEOPLE.
The author said of her diagnosis, “I knew because I felt like s— all week. Once I lost my taste and my smell, I knew what it was. I knew.”
Rivera said she suspected she caught the virus from Lowry after the two recorded their podcast last week.
Apologizing for coming in contact with Rivera while she was positive, Lowry said, “I would not have been around people if I knew I had COVID, but I tested negative twice.”
Lowry revealed that all four of her sons, Isaac, Lincoln, Lux Russell, and Creed have tested positive, but they are all asymptomatic. Her ex Javi Marroquin, with whom she shares Lincoln, has also tested positive for COVID.
She said, “I don’t even know how this happened.”
This is not the first time Lowry has contracted COVID-19. She previously tested positive for COVID after a trip to Iceland in 2020, and her son Lincoln also caught the virus in March.
Rivera said she is “miserable” at home having to quarantine from the rest of her family. However, she said she is “grateful that I don’t have these crazy symptoms and didn’t end up in the hospital. I am 100% vaccinated, so that could have helped me.”
It is unclear if Lowry is vaccinated against COVID-19. The article was published in PEOPLE.
