Are you a keto dieter? If so, you must know that Jillian Michaels hates the keto diet. She wants to make one thing clear: She is not at all a fan of the keto diet.

The American personal trainer went against the popular keto diet trend that has been followed by millions of people in U.S. Through a video for Women’s Health, she states, “I don’t understand, Like, why would anyone think this is a good idea,”

Further, she goes on to imitate a keto creator in a mocking voice, “‘You know what we need to do? All fat and animal protein!’ No! Bad plan. For a million reasons.”

The famous TV personality said that the keto diet often deprives your body of essential nutrients.

The mom of two is known for her extremely tough yet supportive and effective training style and workout routines. She reckons the low-carb-high-fat (LCHF) keto diet is an unhealthy diet plan. The goal of the LCHF diet is to make the body go into a ketosis state to burn fat, depriving the body of essential nutrients.

Michaels explains why she would never recommend the keto diet to anyone.

Our cells, our macromolecules, are made up of macronutrients such as protein, fat, carbohydrates, and nucleic acids. She says, when you do not eat one of the three macronutrients, you are starving yourselves. All of the macronutrients are essential, as they serve an important purpose for your overall health and wellbeing.

Meanwhile, Michaels urges people to eat a well-balanced diet and resist the temptation of any particular diet plan. At the conclusion of her rant, she said, “You don’t eat processed sugar, you don’t eat processed grains and to make a very long story short, avoid the keto diet.” She further added “Common sense – A balanced diet is key.”

Evidently, not everyone agrees with Michaels. Many Hollywood celebrities, including Halle Berry, Vinny Guadagnino, Vanessa Hudgens, follow a strict nutrition plan.

An American entrepreneur, Jenna Jameson, lost nearly 80 lbs. just by following the LCHF diet and she often shares her before and after photos with her Instagram followers.

Earlier this month, a 44-year-old former adult movie actress hailed the keto diet by saying it is sustainable and helps her body run at its optimal level.

Michaels also discussed a few other popular topics, such as vegetable “noodles,” or zoodles. She explained that vegetable noodles are fine as long as people are not eating them because they think they should not eat carbs.

She also explained, “Veggies are great for you, so the more vegetables you eat, the better off you’re going to be, right?” Furthermore, she explained that carbs are not harmful, so if you feel like you want to eat pasta, go whole grain and organic whenever possible so that you are not getting all the processed crap and pesticides.

“Again, don’t go overeat, but of course, something like a zoodle is going to be better for you at the end of the day, so I’m all for it,” she said.

“If you feel like you just need to carb craze and you adhere to those guidelines, I set out you’ll be fine. I eat carbs all the time and I’m the picture of health.” She concluded, “Do not go keto. Just work out, eat clean, and don’t overeat. I promise you, balanced diet,” “It’s that simple.”
