One of the best Chinese smartphone brand Huawei finally launched the most awaited P30 Pro model at a global launch event recently. There is a striking feature in this model that will attract fitness enthusiasts while the other important functions will also catch other’s attention.
P30 Pro comes with the new feature of connecting to almost five different brands’ gym equipment, like treadmills and rowing machines. This will facilitate to have a track of using these devices through the smartphone. It will also give real-time feedback of progress while someone is using machines made by two different equipment manufacturers.
Richard Yu, CEO of the Huawei Consumer Business Group said it will be possible to sync P30 series with real-time data viz. time, calories, distance, steps and save the information in the mobile-app of Huawei. Lee Bell, the author presumes the use of Near Field Communication (NFC) technology in the smartphone, which Huawei has incorporated with the corporation of five gym machine companies.
With the help of this smartphone, you will be able to store all real-time data in the health app of Huawei with no need of using smartwatch while exercising. You will be able to record your workout details and sync it to the application.
The journalist, Lee Bell was told in a pre-briefing that the new model will come with the pre-installed app named “HiGym”. This app will be able to save and track your steps depending on treadmill movement monitoring. It is not confirmed whether the app name HiGym is used as a codename only or it will appear as HiGym eventually within an update. According to Lee Bell, it might have been included in the Huawei Health app.
Surprisingly, two fresh editions of the Huawei Watch GT, namely luxury Watch GT and the sporty Watch GT Active were also launched in another announcement made for fitness and health followers at the P30 launch. Both watches work on Lite OS operating system owned by the company. They both are available in new sizes of 42mm and 46mm, with ceramic bezels and a SS casing. New color options for these watches are black, dark green, orange, brown and white.
The smaller size of Huawei Watch GT boasts a 1.2-inch, 390 x 290 HD AMOLED display. The Watch GT Active has a larger screen size of 1.39-inch, 454 x 454 AMOLED.
Watch GT and GT Active both have GPS, GLONASS and GALILEO satellite support which can map your outdoor activities. While keeping the same sports tracking features, now there is real-time coaching by a newly introduced triathlon mode with the addition of sleep monitoring.
