Halle Berry Workouts For Knee Problem

Again, one more celebrity talks on Instagram and shows how health awareness is spreading through the social media. This time it’s none other than Halle Berry with her trainer Peter Lee Thomas.

Halle Berry is not new to hard and rigorous workouts as she keeps herself well maintained by doing those workouts. But she is not always hitting it hard at the gym to achieve fitness.

Halle explained that working out with no injury is what she looks forward to in her same Instagram post. Halle and her trainer Peter Thomas discuss these workouts in their #PhitTalks series on her Instagram Story Friday, where they answer questions related to working out with bad knees.

Addressing the issue of “working out with bad knees,” the duo started suggesting replacing moves like squats with kickbacks and glute bridges (a solid rec).

Halle Berry is a fan of cat-cow, child’s pose, and cobra stretch from yoga. She says it is very important to do stretching and having a warm-up and cool-down plan.

Halle said, “You can’t just jump into exercise. Like if you’ve never kickboxed, don’t just go to a gym when you’re 35 and think you’re just gonna tear it up.”

The 52-year-old celeb continued, “You can tear it up, but have someone who’s knowledgeable in the field walk you through the steps so you can actually tear it up without hurting yourself”.

Though she tends to work slowly while trying a new workout, she always listens to her body.

Her trainer Thomas suggested using an indoor rower, but Halle said she loves the elliptical machine. For low-impact cardio, “I could do that thing for two hours!” she speaks in the video.

For the bad knee problem, adding walking up hills or staircases is a great low-impact substitute instead of running.

On #Phittalks, Thomas noted that there is no need to be that extreme to reap the exercise benefits. A functional fitness or training for everyday and long-term strength and mobility is a smart choice for everyone who is changing their workout strategy with age.
