Documentaries such as “What the Health” and “The Game Changers” have been making people think about quitting meat and adopting a plant-based diet.

While some are crediting the vegan diet for improved health, others have been suggesting that such documentaries are misleading people.

However, many A-list celebrities have joined the vegan movement, including Swedish actor Dolph Lundgren who has revealed that he has gone vegan and already started reaping its benefits.

In a recent interview with Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid on Good Morning Britain, the 62-year-old actor said his friend Arnold Schwarzenegger encouraged him to go vegan.

He said, “I checked it out and figured I’d try it.”

Many vegans claim that a plant-based diet helps boost erections. So, the hosts asked the Rocky star whether he had noticed any difference in his sexual health.

Lundgren responded, “Well, it was already quite good. It went up about 50 percent. I think maybe a little bit. I’m a lover, not a fighter.”

Jokes apart, Lundgren hailed the vegan diet and confirmed that he feels more energetic these days.

Many celebrities have adopted the new trend of going vegan, claiming to have a number of health benefits. However, it is important to understand that you may miss a bunch of essential nutrients that you can get from the animal-based diet.

Director of Performance Nutrition at Precision Nutrition Brian St. Pierre told Men’s Health, “Ultimately, it’s not that getting people to eat plants is a bad thing. It’s generally a great thing. But you don’t have to do so by erroneously telling people that meat is killing them, and they need to go to an all-plant diet. That is a false dichotomy.” So, if you want to go vegan, check with a registered dietician who can help you with what types of food you need to eat.
