Laser eye surgery, or LASIK, is a popular surgery that helps correct vision in people who are nearsighted, farsighted, or astigmatism.
It is one of the vision correction surgeries, which works by reshaping your cornea, so that light focuses on the retina in the back of your eye, according to WebMD.
Doctors often indicate laser eye surgery to people with refractive errors, such as nearsightedness (myopia), farsightedness (hyperopia), and astigmatism (blurry vision).
