Around 37 percent of Indian men expressed zero to low confidence in getting an erection during sexual activity, according to sexual health report by mister.in, a men’s health and wellness brand.

Indian researchers found that more than half of those men were relatively young, aged between 18 and 30.

According to the misters.in, the study involved more than 5,000 men aged between 18 and 70 who span metros and mini-metros.

The survey also found that nearly 70 percent of those men reported having premature ejaculation. They said they ejaculated before “partner satisfaction.”

The article was published online in NYK Daily.

The researchers explained that lifestyle plays a huge role in maintaining good sexual health.

They noted that 26 percent of those who admitted to having sexual health issues experience high stress, while 15 percent of them had 100 ml of alcohol per week, and 22 percent were smokers.

Co-founder of misters.in, Gaurav Gupta, said, “A previous survey by us showed that stress as a key factor in premature ejaculation.”

“This survey establishes that bad lifestyle habits may affect all aspects of sexual health,” he added. “The survey itself has been a starting point for a conversation with the respondents, and we hope that we are able to break the taboo around the topic.”
