Canadian health officials seized an unapproved sexual enhancement product called “Never Rest” after it was found to be tainted with sildenafil citrate, a prescription drug that is recommended for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED).

Health Canada said the tainted product was seized from a store in Saskatoon. The officials announced the seizure from ‘Lil’ Devil Adult Video & Toys’ at 1620 Idylwyld Dr. North on Tuesday.

Never Rest is promoted as a sexual enhancement supplement for men. Health Canada tested the product and found that it contained sildenafil.

Sildenafil should be only under the supervision of a doctor because it adversely interacts with certain drugs, causing health issues.

The officials said sildenafil should not be used by those who take nitrates or alpha-blockers. That’s because they are inimical to each other and could increase the risk of serious low blood pressure.

In addition, people who have heart disease are at an increased risk of having a cardiovascular event such as heart attack or stroke if they take sildenafil without informing their doctor.

Earlier this year, Health Canada said it seized 14 other unauthorized health products from the same store.

The officials have advised people to stop using the product and consult a doctor if they have used the product and have any health issues.

They also said that people should check if products are authorized for sale by searching them on Health Canada’s drug product database and licensed natural health product database. The officials said it is illegal for manufacturers to sell unauthorized health products in Canada.
