Alexis Eddy was found dead on Thursday morning in her mother’s home in Mannington. She was 23.
The West Virginia native was the contestant on the MTV reality show “Are You the One?” in 2017.
According to Police Chief Brian Stewart, family members had been giving Eddy CPR when the 911 call came in.
Stewart said, “Shortly before 7 am we had a call about a cardiac arrest in Mannington. She was pronounced dead at the scene.”
The police chief was not able to give additional details about her death because of the ongoing investigation; however, he did talk about her family.
“We have not had a history with Alexis and her family are really good people,” said Stewart.
The reality star was quite open about her mental health struggles and substance abuse. Last year in September, Eddy shared a photo of herself and father, stating that they had both been sober for a couple of years.
Eddy arrived at her mother’s house on Wednesday night and seemed all right, according to the TMZ. Her death remains under investigation.
