A former NYPD sergeant has pleaded guilty of running drugs for a big shot dealer affiliated with the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods, a violent set of the United Blood Nation street gang.
On November 27, Arlicia Robinson admitted that she had moved a package of heroin from the Bronx to Manhattan in July last year.
Robinson was indicted in November last year on three narcotic counts. Her case was referenced during the trial of two gangsters who once were friends with American rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine, who was a notorious gang member until he flipped.
Tekashi 6ix9ine is expected to be sentenced on Wednesday for his involvement with the gangsters and several shootings in 2017 and 2018.
Kristian Cruz, a drug dealer for the gang, admitted that he had hired the ex-NYPD sergeant to transport drugs because he believed she would draw less attention from authorities.
“I carried the package to a car and rode in the car to help deliver the package,” said Robinson said. “I know what I did was wrong and I’m very sorry.”
Under federal guidelines, Robinson could face imprisonment for up to five or six years or a fine between $20,000 and $5 million.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Sebastian Swett said Robinson was caught in a “reverse sting.” “The government would have video surveillance of the defendant participating in this drug transaction,” explained Swett. “The entire setup was surveilled and done at law enforcement’s control and direction.”
