    Although many Americans cherish Thanksgiving night, the dinner may typically not be so healthy. The traditional feast is loaded with full of fatty foods and of course alcohol which is not a good combo.

    The University of Wisconsin-Madison has suggested eating a healthier holiday meal by adding vegetables, green beans, squash and carrots to your plate. It also suggests limiting red meat and your favorite pie for dessert.

    In addition to overeating this Thanksgiving, many of us would indulge in binge drinking, while some may end up have in a hangover. It is better to drink in moderation this Thanksgiving rather than bingeing on it and having a painful hangover the next day.

    Even if you tend to drink way too much this Thanksgiving, here are a few tips that could help you make it less painful.

    Experts often suggest drinking water while consuming alcohol, which rarely happens. So, you should try to drink a couple of glasses of water before going to bed. You may even have sporty drinks to replenish your electrolytes.

    You can eat a banana because it eases your stomach and contains potassium, a key electrolyte that regulates your body’s fluid balance.

    If you are fortunate enough to have a holiday the day after Thanksgiving, make sure you get plenty of rest. Our body has the ability to repair and heal itself when we rest and get enough sleep. So, the bottom line is to avoid overeating and do not indulge in binge drinking this Thanksgiving. Even if you have too much alcohol, you know what you need to do.
